Sheet Metal Facbrication

Stamping

Stamping is a metal processing method based on metal plastic deformation. It uses die and stamping equipment to exert pressure on the metal plate to plastically deform or separate the metal plate, thereby obtaining parts (stamping parts) with a certain shape, size, and performance.
The process flow is as follows:

1. Separation process

This is the process of separating or partially separating a part of a sheet or a broken piece from another part.
This process packs shearing and blanking processes.
Shearing:
The sheet is cut with a shearing blade to separate it along the perimeter that is not closed.
Blanking:
Blanking – the workpiece is completely separated from the sheet along the closed contour, and the punched part is the workpiece. Punching – the waste is completely separated from the workpiece along the closed contour, and the punched part is scrap. Trimming – Cut off the excess material at the edge of the hollow workpiece obtained by drawing to make it have a certain neat shape.

2. Deformation process

Deformation is the process of changing the geometric shape of a part of the sheet. This includes: bending, drawing, forming, cold extrusion, and other processes.
Bending:
Bending a flat blank to make the plane shape intersect into a three-dimensional shape.
Drawing:
Pressing a flat blank into a hollow part of the desired shape, or further changing the shape and size of a hollow part.

3. Forming

The stamping parts are deformed with precision to make the workpiece get the exact shape and size. Including shaping, necking, flanging, partial molding
Shaping:
The pressing parts obtained by stamping are subjected to finishing and deformation to obtain the accurate shape and size of the workpiece.
Narrowing:
The diameter of the open end of the hollow blank or pipe is made small to obtain a workpiece with a braided shape.
Flanging:
Press the hole on the blank or the bottom hole on the hollow workpiece into a flange larger than the hole diameter or a vertical edge of other shapes.
Partial forming:
Press the flat blank into an undulating shape.

4. Cold extrusion

The metal is extruded in the mold cavity to produce plastic deformation, and the blank is turned into a part of the required shape, size, and certain performance.

    Laser cutting service

Laser cutting has the characteristics of high quality, fast speed, and strong adaptability. Compared with the stamping processing of complex, multi-variety, small and medium batch parts, it can be cut directly without opening the die and programming according to the workpiece drawing, forming without burrs and processing thicker parts, It is narrower than the air gap, with good perpendicularity, high precision and small heat affected zone. Faster than wire cutting.

    CNC bending service

Bending is the process of forming a workpiece with the bending machine and related bending die, which can improve the strength of the workpiece.

    Metal stamping service

Stamping is an efficient production method. By using compound dies, especially multi-station progressive dies, multiple stamping processes can be completed on one press (single station or multi-station), and the full-automatic production from strip uncoiling, leveling, blanking to forming and finishing can be realized. Typically, hundreds of pieces can be produced per minute. Compared with other machining and plastic processing methods, stamping has many unique advantages in technology and economy. The main performances are as follows.
(1)The stamping process has the advantages of high production efficiency, convenient operation, easy realization of mechanization, and automation. This is because stamping relies on stamping dies and stamping equipment to complete the process. The stroke of the ordinary press can reach dozens of times per minute, and the high-speed pressure can reach hundreds or even thousands of times per minute. One stamped part can be produced per stamping stroke.
    (2) In the stamping process, because the die ensures the dimensional and shape accuracy of the stamping parts, it generally will not damage the surface quality of the stamping parts. The service life of the die is generally long, the stamping quality is stable, the interchangeability is good, and it has the characteristics of “identical”.
    (3) Stamping can process parts with a large size range and complex shape, such as the second hand of clocks and watches, automobile longitudinal beams, covering parts, etc. In addition to the cold deformation hardening effect of the material in the stamping process, the stamping strength and stiffness are very high.
    (4) Stamping generally does not produce chips and waste materials, with less material consumption and no need for other heating equipment. Therefore, it is a material-saving and energy-saving processing method, and the cost of stamping parts is low.

    Welding Service

“Welding” is a process and connection method that enables two workpieces to produce atomic bonding by heating or pressurizing (or both). Welding is widely used for metal and non-metal. Metal welding can be divided into three categories according to its process characteristics: fusion welding, pressure welding, and brazing. Common welding processes include secondary arc welding, argon arc welding, electric welding, robot welding, and contact welding. The process is mainly to assemble and weld two or more parts together to achieve the purpose of processing finished products or assembling accessories, Or it is necessary to weld the edge seam of a single part to make the bending edge accurate to increase the folding strength.

    We can Produce Stamping Dies

A stamping die is a special process of equipment that processes materials (metal or non-metal) into parts (or semi-finished products) in the process of cold stamping, which is called cold stamping die (commonly known as cold stamping die). Stamping is a pressure processing method, which uses the die installed on the press to apply pressure on the material at room temperature to cause separation or plastic deformation, to obtain the required parts.

The die used for stamping is called stamping die or die for short. A stamping die is a special tool for batch processing materials (metal or non-metal) into required stamping parts. Stamping die plays an important role in stamping. Without qualified stamping dies, it is difficult to carry out mass stamping production; Without advanced stamping dies, it is impossible to realize the advanced stamping process. The stamping process and die, stamping equipment and stamping materials constitute the three major elements of stamping processing. Stampings can only be obtained by combining them.60 ~ 70% of the world’s steel products are plates, most of which are finished products made by stamping. Body, chassis, oil tank, radiator, boiler drum, container shell, motor, electrical iron core silicon steel sheet, etc. are all stamped. There are also a large number of stamping parts in instruments, household appliances, bicycles, office machinery, household appliances, and other products.

Usually, cold stamped parts are no longer machined or require only a small amount of machining. The precision and surface condition of hot stamping parts are lower than those of cold stamping parts, but they are still better than castings and forgings, and the processing amount is less.

Stamping is an efficient production method. The compound dies, especially the multi-position progressive die, can be used to complete multiple stamping processes on one press, and realize the full-automatic production from strip uncoiling, leveling, and blanking to forming and finishing. High production efficiency, good working conditions, and low production cost. Typically, hundreds of pieces can be produced per minute.
